‘Clovis’ is based on a fictional character and comet created by Shadeemus. Clovis being a comet also represents the characters departure from Arakis (the desert planet where our last project took place). Some theorists believe that the Comet brought about the destruction of Atlantis as it coincides with the time the great civilization of Atlantis fell.

In the SHADEEMUS adaptation of the story of Atlantis, Clovis (the song), is a Lament of a failed relationship between the character (Clovis) and his love interest, a mermaid on Atlantis. Clovis fell in love and got crushed badly. After professing their love to each other, they were meant to meet on a cave island just outside of Atlantis. They were meant to depart far away to another planet where their love would flourish.

Clovis’s love interest never showed up; he was left waiting alone, it was their last chance to be together; they had promised each other eternity and the promise was now broken. Clovis departed alone.
